of the rest of the Palace.
As Aftab Mehal and Mehtab Mahal say ‘Aadab’,
you can step back in time and catch glimpses of an era where
Zenana and Mardana were not merely separate
enclosures for men and women, but a celebration of tehzeeb
and of a culture that is today being dramatically brought
back to life.
Experience Tamanna – Reflections of
the Royal Zenana at Aftab Mahal,
an exhibition showcasing some of Hyderabad’s
finest textiles and embroideries. The exhibition reflects
the lifestyle of the Zenana through two occasions
that are precious to women. Their marriage and their motherhood.
Be captivated by Shaan – Glimpses of the lifestyle
of the Nizams at Mehtab Mahal, an exhibition
that captures the essence of the Nizami lifestyle through
a series of restored rooms that have been specially recreated
to help you look back at history.
